Dear Friends, Neighbors and Delegates,
Thank you for all your hard work today in this endorsing convention. This work is one of the basic building blocks of our democracy, I commend you all for taking a Saturday to do your civic duty.
Thank you for your support.
I am honored to have the endorsement of my peers, that is you, friends and neighbors, to continue the great work that Sheldon Johnson has done for our East Side.
Some of us are here for the first time, the second or third time, or we have lost count. Some of us came here with a candidate in mind, some of us have changed our minds since this morning. But
I know that none of us wavers from the desire to have a strong champion to be our voice in the Minnesota House.
I am only here because of the sacrifice of my parents, two hard working refugees who came here a world away, sight unseen to a new country they called home. As a child of refugees, I think there is no greater way to give back to a community which has welcomed us than to step up and be voice for my neighbors at the state legislature.
I want to thank my family, without who I could not have the moral support to organize or run for public office. I want to thank my friends and campaign staff, who have given countless hours to turn our vision for the east side into a strategy that could I could share with you all. To all the delegates, your work is immeasurable, and it is the heartbeat of our democracy. Thank you again for your participation, hard work and deliberation.
It is my most humble and great honor to receive your endorsement today, as a lifelong Democrat and proud east sider. Thank you.
I will see you at the August Primaries!
